CITA's goals are: build awareness of the importance of international trade to Connecticut's economy, educate members and the public about world trade issues and support and facilitate the development of world trade and Bradley International Airport.

CITA holds general membership meetings regularly from September through June. The meetings are held at a restaurant or hotel facility in the central Connecticut area.
